An original one-room schoolhouse, Little Orleans Lodge is nestled between Green Ridge State Forest and the C & O Canal National Historical Park (Mile Marker 141 on the towpath). Little Orleans Lodge is located only a 1/2 mile from the C & O Canal Towpath. The Lodge offers a variety of rooms to accommodate all visitors, from the single traveler to a large group.

Visitors can hike or bike the towpath and canoe or kayak nearby in the Potomac River. The bird-watching in Little Orleans features migrants such as waterfowl, warblers and a few rarities.

The terminus of the C & O Canal is located in Cumberland, Maryland (43 miles west) and is where the towpath connects to the Great Allegheny Passage to continue the off-road, non-motorized route from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C.

Little Orleans is a year-round retreat for hikers, bikers, birdwatchers, naturalists, hunters and fisherman. The outdoor adventures are unlimited... For more details - click here
